Darrn it, Looks like the rescue thing is over, Maya and Venom will leave the cave - but they won't give up on finding Silver

When the shard was removed from my bare chest, I was in great pain. I groaned and opened one eye, looking at Mason in the eye. Her sister seemed kind. The smile says it all. I sat up and said to Mason, "You got some nerve to get all snippy at me like that. I told you the truth, but you didn't believe me. Shame on you."
Spoiler! :
*Couldn't think striaght. That's why it's short.*

I nodded, but warned, "I won't go for small animals." The girls and I started our hunt. The girls went for deers, but I wanted something bigger. Male vampires need more blood than female vampires do. I had to stalk a bear as my hunt. After a small prayer, I burned the bear's corpse. As a vampire on the run, I must be careful with what I do. I couldn't let anyone know I was out hunting for more blood. When I hunt, I was too proud to let anyone know that I had strength beyound my physical age. I knew I had pride, but what would wound my pride is the loss of the sirens. Where would I be without the sirens?

I said calmly, "I shouldn't tell. It's against my eternal vow to my maker." Persephone asked, "What was your old life like?" I answered, "Full of pureness and not enough sin to share. I had to live life alone after my maker died."

I answered grimly, "No. My maker's maker- Jack Bloodstone- travelled with me to Alethia, hoping I wouldn't make the same mistake he did." Persephone asked, "Which was...?" I answered, "Turning a siren into a vampire. That's how I learned to flirt with sirens. My maker was a siren herself in her old life. Jack was two centuries old when he changed Sarah, who was seven centuries when she changed me. Jack's now fifteen centuries old and Sarah would've thirteen centuries if she didn't sacrifice herself to save me from dying by fire." I knew I was talking in riddles, but I didn't care. They were fellow vampires, so they can guess my true age.

“Curse the wolves!” Maya yelled and stomped her foot in the ground. She and Venom had entered the cave only to find… nothing. The wolves had run off, the traces of vampire-blood wiped away and Silver was not to be spotted anywhere, if he was ever even there. “I didn’t travel this far just to come up with nothing!” Venom shrugged at the sound of Maya’s piercing voice. But she didn’t care, she was upset and she was impatient. “We’ll have to find another way Neo!” Maya decided, using Venom’s first name which she knew made him uncomfortable but she wanted him to feel ashamed for dragging her this far, wasting her precious energy and for nothing. “I’m sorry… but we can’t just stomp into the midst of vampires who wants to kill you and beat me up!” “But that’s exactly what we’re going to do!” Maya whispered and a smirk spread on her lips and mischief was hinted in her dark eyes.
