Last stop, Marathon. In the near future zombies have begun to encompass most of the southwest including the little town of Marathon, Texas. This is where a band of Survivors and Maniacs must avoid the zombie threat doing whatever it takes to stay alive and get the fuck out of Marathon.
Story starts off when the zombies just begin to arrive at Marathon, your character can know or not know about it and can choose to tell other characters. The military has quarantined Marathon so you must choose to escape or stay and survive. You will also have the choice of being a Maniac which is what it sounds like, you choose to do whatever it takes to survive, this means killing other characters. You will also have the choice of being a Survivor someone who will scavenge and join forces with other characters to live through the ordeal or challenge the military head on.
Moderators: Shamrock & ABoyAndHisFlyingYeti; Moderators will also be playing as the U.S. Army giving general insight from a different perspective to all players. Imagine the military as Narrarators.
Rules: In general
Abide by the map meaning pay attention to stores and houses on the map, if you leave the quarantine area you must have a good backstory or else... DEATH!!!
There can be sex if needed but, no hardcore sex scenes; keep it soft core. Female friendly. Abosolutely NO necrophilia!!!
No killing other characters without their permission.
No fantasy elements, i.e. magic or laser guns, keep it realistic.
No being a big hero and killing every single zombie or by passing the military no problem, it ruins the story and makes you sound like a self centered jackass.
Characters can be killed if it fits the story, you can kill your character off at any time. Moderators will kill off characters if the rules are broken or if they are inactive for a week.
Feel free to post as frequently and lengthy as needed. Players MUST post at least a paragraph.
There are NPC's that anyone can choose to kill within a post such as a Survivor saying they see an NPC being eaten by zombies or if a Maniac feels like going ape shit on an NPC and telling about it. This being said Maniacs dont get to kill every NPC.
You can loot stores just dont go crazy for example, say you find a flamethrower in a hardware store.
There are two factions Maniacs and Survivors, rules including the two are posted below.
Rules: Survivors
Survivors may choose wether or not to be up for love.
There can be backstabbing, just be sure to pm the person your stabbing in the back for their permission.
Able to carry up to 6 items.
Survivors are advised to stay together, you dont have too but, stray at your own risk.
Survivors will be able to pick a skill i.e. handiness, good shot, medic, etc.
Survivors will be able to make barricades and safehouses at any suitable place on the map. They can stay in these safehouses for as long as they want.
Rules: Maniacs
Maniacs can kill Maniacs and Survivors with permission.
Able to carry up to 8 items
Have to stay on their own, no grouping up.
No skills, you've lost your freakin' mind!!!
Maniacs start off with a weapon of their choice just dont go overboard.
