In the year 2050, a mega-corporation called GloboCorp began taking the poor from the streets, the rough from the prisons, and other outcasts of society that would not be missed, into their custody and began to use them as test subjects. This continued, unabated, for several years. GloboCorp used them to test new weapons for the military, new drugs for the pharmacies, new devices for the public, and as target practice for their experimental war machines. This of course, happened in secret, the testing taking places on secluded islands in the pacific or laboratories miles underground. You are one of GloboCorp's best test subjects, and have used you for multiple experiments, each of which you managed to survive. now they have taken you and nine other extremely lucky subjects to test you against their newest invention. After successfully managing to defeat the invention (a massive robot), you and the other test subjects decide to break out of the GloboCorps testing facility (a bunker miles beneath the Russian Steppe). Unfortunately, GloboCorps has sent its super-soldiers (clad in cybernetic, ability enhancing suits) to stop you.

So yeah, basically the idea of this SB is that you're a renegade test subject trying to break out of an evil corporation's testing facilities. Have fun!

Name: Leroy Jenkins

Age(18+): 25

Appearance (no anime):

History: When he was just 16, Leroy and his friend Paul were arrested for public intoxication. After being in the drunk tank for only 20 minutes, GloboCorp representatives arrived and paid their bail and then took them into testing. Paul died in an explosion in the first test. Leroy, however, continued to survive the tests for 9 years, becoming a seasoned veteran of testing.

Testing subject: Weapons and munitions

Personality: Leroy is usually dour and serious about the situation. He knows what it takes to survive the tests and is more than willing to help someone survive and give them advice, but if they won't listen to him or think they know better, he will immediately stop caring about that person and let them die. He can occasionally be seen being happy or humorous, but is almost always serious about the task at hand.

Other: Leroy has collected weapons and munitions from the tests he completed over the years and intends to find the place where he hid them so he can use them against GloboCorps's soldiers.

Name: Judd Snow

History: Judd was the son of an american special ops soldier who died shortly after he was concieved. His pennyless mother was taken by Globocorp and subjected to genetic experimentation. No one noticed she was pregnant for several months, by that point Judd's DNA had already mutated.

His mother died in childbirth only living long enough to name him. Throughout his early child hood he was subjected to fairly harmless experiments but as he grew older the tests grew steadily more lethal and life threatening.

Raised from birth as one of Globocorp's lab rats, the only things Judd knows about the 'outside world' come from other test subjects. Judd dreams of escaping and making his own future in the world.

Testing subject: Genetic Mutations/Enhancements, they gave him the ability to generate and control thermo and electrical energy. Although Judd has kept the exact extent of his powers secret.

Personality: Aloof and withdrawn. A child who has been systematically abused since before his birth. Judd keeps to himself, only letting people get so close before drawing back. But if you can manage to befriend him he makes the most loyal of allies, and a ruthless foe.

Independent and reckless, Judd will charge into any situation no matter the danger. Knowing that even if he somehow manages to escape Judd will still die before his thirtieth birthday, Judd lives in the present and gives very little thought to the consequences of tomorrow.

Basically he lives every moment like it might be his last.

Other: A side effect of the experiments he was subjected to is a drastically shortened life span. According to the scientists Judd will hit his experation date before he turns thirty.

Name: Xia Slovaj

History: At the age of 14 Xia became an orphan. Her dad had killed her mother and shot himself afterwards. She was put into an orphanage and at the age of 16 she got kicked out to start her own life. An employee of the orphanage informed Globocorp about this and they took her in.

Testing subject: New drugs

Personality: Xia is tranquil and observes a situation before she does or says something. She's down to earth and follows the rules when she can stand behind them.

This but scruffier with a more street type look about her.

History: She ran away from home when she realized her dad was beating her mum. She wanted her mum to come with her but eventually it got too much so she left quickly at the age of 10. She lived on the streets for only a short time and became pregnant as a result of rape. She had a backstreet abortion performed by a undercover representative of GloboCorp who was looking for new people to test on. He was charming to her and told her he knew of a place she could go and be safe of course - shaken and scared from the rape - she went with him and has been used to test new drugs ever since.

Testing subject: New drugs but mostly new versions of contraceptive drugs and other forms of contraception due to the circumstances under which she was picked up and because they suspect that she is highly fertile.

Personality: She is quite bitter from her experiences and sometimes blames other people but once she gets to know them and their own struggles she opens up and shows that she can be very considerate and caring and friendly. She is a good listener and doesn't tend to ask many questions. She gets angry when they test things on her because the drugs have negative effects on her and she has inherited some of her temper from her father. She can be quite unstable and change between being happy and extremely depressed within minutes. She is not a natural leader, she prefers to follow and do as she is told. What she needs is someone to reach out a hand and show her that not everyone in the world is evil and out to make her life a living hell.

Up for love (straight love, that is)?:It depends whether they could change her view that love doesn't exist because of what her dad did to her mother and what she went through on the streets - someone would have to change that view before she would consider a relationship with them.

Other: When she gets out she is determined to find her mother and get her out of the abusive relationship with her father. She doesn't yet know that her dad has killed her mother.

Appearance (no anime):about 5' (one of the side effects of a medication was being short) with strawberry blond hair (hates it when people call her a redhead) with clear, light blue eyes and freckles

sort of like this, but with her hair a little darker, her eyes more squinted (nearsightedness) and more crazy looking.

History:Her father died when she was two and her mother abandoned her three years later. She didn't remember her name because her mom never talked to her so she hadn't heard it for three years. She was found by some other kids on the street (Sophi, Heidi, and Shelby- she's five and doesn't remember or care about last names) and they took care of her. It was raining that night, so they nicknamed her Storm Cloud. They were picked up by GloboCorp when she was twelve. Shelby died of starvation a few days before. Heidi was killed in the testing of a new medication that caused her to contract the illness rather than curing it. She was separated from Sophi when they found them, and the next time she saw her was after Sophi went through a particularly horrible test. Sophi told Storm, "I hate you, sister," before dying right there. Sophi was like her sister. Storm didn't know about the last test (for a failed anti-depressant that made Sophi violent and angry) and went a little insane.

Testing subject: new medications mostly, but sometimes she tests new fighting equipment

Personality: Quiet and she usually doesn't tell people what she's thinking. She doesn't follow orders and when she does speak, she demands and leads. Not all her thoughts are bad, but she became depressed after Sophi died and all that. They test a lot of anti-depressants on her because of that, a few of them variations of the same drug that they tested on Sophi before her death. She's still the same inside her mind, but she's cruel and sadistic to the outside world. She doesn't let anyone into her heart for fear that the past will repeat itself.

Up for love (straight love, that is)? If someone can look past her mask and see the person inside, maybe. Maybe not. She finds romance to be a bit annoying at times.

Other: She needs glasses badly. She used to have bad eyesight and they tested a pill that was supposed to fix nearsightedness but it didn't work and now she's almost blind. She's sort of the odd one that doesn't fit in.

Um.. Ok, first RP (or Storybook, whatever you'd like to call it) in a while.. So, sorry if I'm a bit rusty!

Name: Drustan Willows

Age(18+): 19

Appearance (no anime): Tall, and skinny.

History: Both his parents were killed in a car crash and he got a broken leg. They took him in because no one else had after a year, and fixed his leg. Then started to test on him.

Testing subject: Mostly pharmaceutical drugs (that explains the white-blond hair), but was occasionally tested with the potentially dangerous technology that would be soon available to the public.

Personality: Gets irritated when he's mistaken to be younger than he actually is. Not really easy to get angry but when he is angry you'll feel it - physically and mentally. Otherwise he's very calm but can jump to conclusions even though he doesn't talk much.

Up for love (straight love, that is)? Yes.

Other: His eye color used to be a dark brown but when testing a new type of colored contacts on him it changed his color. Same for his skin and hair color, skin used to be regular but is now really pale and his hair used to be dirty blond.

Name: Violet (Vi) Thompson

Age:20

Appearance: light brown hair always in a ponytail, tan, noticeable cheekbones, dark grey eyes, average height, muscular but still feminine.

History: At a school for troubled children. Slightly OCD, and extremely aggresive. She spent summers at the school and her parents never visited. Didn't talk much, except when she got mad. She's been here since she was 15. She tried to help a younger kid when she first got here, but the child was too weak and no matter how hard she tried to help the child, he still died. The experience hardened her.

Testing subject: Battle gear, fighting robots, and stuff like that.

Personality: She keeps to herself. She prides her strength, physically and mentally. She hates it when people cry, thinks it's a sign of weakness. She thinks of life, and this experience as a test, and her favorite saying is survival of the fittest.

Up for love: Yes, but she thinks otherwise. She thinks of love as a weakness but doesn't realise how much she craves it.

Other: She has one fear. She hates that she has it, but she extremely scared of heights. Used to be skitsophrenic, but GloboCorp cured that, with the side effect of her having mind crippling nightmares about falling off a cliff forever.

Name: Isabel (Izzy) Blacklite

Age(18 ): 18

Appearance (no anime):

History: Isabel's parents died when she was young, so she does not remember them. The only person that she remember's is her older sister, Teria, whom she use to live with. Teria hated and loathed her because she blamed Isabel for their parent's death. When Isabel was 10, her sister found an ad about GloboCorp needing and paying for test subjects. That night when Isabel was in bed, Teria called GloboCorp. They paid Teria an incredable sum and then came and took Isabel away.

Testing subject: Target Practice and new technology

Personality: Due to Isabel's past, she is very reserved when around people in general. But underneath that reserved exterior is a girl who has a very strong will to live through any situation. She is very stubborn and down to earth. Isabel is also loyal, kind and caring when you get to really know her. When she becomes friends with you, she would do anything she could to help you. She thinks outside the box and is a great listener.

Up for love (straight love, that is)? Sure is.

Other: She loves music, so she hums and wistles a lot.

Appearance:

History: he ran away when was twelve. Globocorp found him wandering New York City two months later. He doesn't like to talk about anything that happened before that.

Testing subject: some pharmaceutical drugs, mostly technology, weapons and fighting equipment.

Personality: he's a bit of a pessimist. He wants to get out, and he doesn't care how he does it. He's a bit reckless, a do first, think later kind of person. He's quiet, an observer, and a bit moody most of the time. He's a very physical person, so it's not all that hard to tell what he's feeling if you're paying enough attention. He's scared of loving someone, because he is so afraid that he'll get hurt again.

Other: He used to take karate when he was a kid, and he plays the guitar and piano. When he's bored he tries to think up song lyrics.

Name: Sam Taylor

Age: 26

Appearance: A typical roughneck. His hair is dark blond and he hasn’t had a shave in far too long. He’s muscular with a golden tan, pretty blue eyes, and numerous scars from a few too many drunken nights and bar room fights.

History: Carjacking, drunk driving, theft, burglary, assault, drunken misdemeanours, hitchhiking without a permit, possession of illegal weapons, posession of illegal drugs, driving without a licence, migrating without a passport, forging legal documents, identity fraud … Needless to say he was better behind bars.
Living out on the road with nobody who would come looking for him, he made an ideal candidate for testing.

Testing subject: Human endurance and torture methods.

Personality: He has a basic sense of humanity in that he wouldn’t hurt someone if he didn‘t have to, and he wouldn’t hesitate to save a life. He still has a knack for leaving a trail of destruction wherever he goes, though.
Being alone for so long has left him with a distinct lack of empathy, and so he only acknowledges physical pains. Being on the road and never looking back over his shoulder has meant that he has little perception of consequences, or how his actions effect others even after he has moved on.

Up for love: No.

Other: He likes sweet foods, cool breezes and old movies. He treats small children like pets, dances like his feet are made of lead, and has a learned sense of respect for religious folk.
