In the tallest tower, is the detention room. Students who are late to class, rude, or disrespectful are sent there for an hour or more to try spinning straw into gold. It's a hopeless task, and their hands often get scratched and bleed a little from the sharp spindle. It's a punishment that is feared and is handed out more often than the girls would like.
Boy's School Building:

In the tallest spire of the boy's building, is their detention room. Instead of trying to spin straw into a precious metal, they scour filthy pots until they shine like brand new. It isn't feared by the students, only mildly inconveniencing.
The Archery Range, used by both schools:
Spoiler! :
Since they princes and princesses use it at the same time, they split the field in half, girls on one side, boys on the other.
