There is electricity in the basement, but only a few spaces to put plugs. There is one light-bulb on the cieling with a chain you pull to turn it on. This will turn on, for now. Until the light bulb runs out.
Also, to clear a few things up. There is a small, working sink in the corner of the basement behind a matress. Upstairs, on the ground level above the basment is the ruins of a burnt store. All there is is one huge room with burnt down walls. That's why the basment has been ignored.
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
I have a few more things that will be found out later to add to the plot. I'll tell you ahead of time now, but I will start all of the plot-twisters when I feel nessesary.
1) Behind a large stack of matresses there is a really small door with no doorknob, but it can be broken into. On the other side of the door is a small safe with the code 12-03-39. The code is written on the bottom in roman numerals. The safe contains the plans of the building, some legal documents, and nearly $5,000 (about 3,540 EUR for my brittish friends) in cash.
2) If possible a new character will be introduced to the story.
3) The group in the basement are found by a group of people who decide they want the basement for themselves. Or, another version of this idea, a group of cops make it through the city in disguise and stumble upon the basement, and decide to sleep there for a night, unknowing it had other ocupants.
I'll add more once I think of them. I'm not guarenteeing all these will be used, they are just potential ideas.
