Sure! They'd be from 15th century or so, and probably know the captain rather well. His profile will be up tomorrow or so (offline life, leave me alone!), by the way.

I'm back home again. Posted character profile for Captain Arrow. Will get on the ship profile as soon as I can. I'll also be changing the name of the ship to The Majestic, I like it a lot better.
I have some questions though. Shouldn't we have some more information about what kind of time this is? Steampunk and airships, is that it? Did other technology evolve alongside this, or did the aquatic side take a hit?
Also, I get the goals of both the Navy and the pirate ships, we're basicly hunting down The Evangeline. I like that, it has a lot of cool potential.
However, what is The Evangeline going to do? What is their goal? Do they just sail around, wondering why they are dead and still here or something?
Lastly, stuff I'd want on the ship: First mate, Second mate, Coxswain/navigator. Oh, and somebody name a character Jeff.
Join the Navy guys!

On the Evangeline, will the First Mate and the Quartermaster be the same person? The thing you linked to said they were sometimes the same person, sometimes not.
Right.. He could be hired by someone who isn't the captain, and officially just being a really cool sailor with skills? xP Your crew members aren't necessarily all from the Navy, though. The captain is and the ship is, but many sailors who tried this before haven't returned, and I imagine even some brave Navy people wouldn't want to go, so the captain would have to find replacements.
As for what's Evangeline doing.. they're sailing to the place they're at while they're not near the shore. A mysterious island full of treasure, the end of the world, a waterfall from the skies which hides the world of afterlife~? Who knows c:
For the time and technology, pretty much everything goes xD There are guns, but also swords and daggers and stuff. There are cannons, and flying ships, and there can be some electricity if you wish - no phones, computers or devices alike, though.
Elves - they won't be the same person, I'd say. If you wish to take the quartermaster's role, you can ^^

Steam-punk Tech is basically if the industrial revolution evolved around steam and Victorian age techs. SO Lots of steam engines powering everything, clockwork, gears, but all based around the Victorian ideals of beauty and aesthetics.
Steam punk "classic" tech involves airships, (dirigible, aka zeppelins, propeller driven steam airships) Submarines (think the 20,000 leagues under the sea) Cars- but steam and not gas powered, Prosthetic limbs made from wood but powered by clock gears and tiny steam engines, Goggles are a must have with all the smoke from the engines, (wink) There would be batteries (they had those back then but frigging huge ones not very practical.) and they had Electricity- but not like we had. the electric lights they would have used would have been huge Theater like lights. Communications would have involved a LOT of telegrams, letter writing and EARLY telephones but those would have been mainly used on the ship for the levels of the ship= so control room can call the engine room and so on.
I hope this helps... I'm a Steam Punk myself so. XD This is like an amazing treat for me.
(If you go onto Google and look up steam-punk airships, or costumes or anything you will get a good idea on what steam-punk is. Also Websites like DA have wonderful artists and many do Steam-punk inspired work. Also Tumbler of course or Pinterest. )
