Spoiler! :
Mages: Mages and humans are two sides of the same coin. Mages are usual humans with magical abilities. They sometimes wander the world or settle down in one place. There are Light and Dark mages, along with every shade between these extremes. Mages have magic in their veins, quite literally, while humans are usually magicless. They are similar to Sorcerers in many respects, but unlike Sorcerers, the magic often represents as psychical abnormalities such as unusual eye or hair colour, and sometimes even runes that appear naturally on the skin. It is also less dark than their Sorcerer brethren.
It's usually hereditary, though a mage can just randomly pop up in a bloodline previously believed to be devoid of mage ancestry. So, short answer? It's kinda both, depending on the circumstances.
"With friends like you, who needs a medical license?" - Paimon, Aether's Heart
“It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission.” - Grace Hopper.
While I'm here. I shall finish my profiles, and when we have a few more people. Guardians, please, people! And hopefully the Anti-bloodlines characters. Or at least the leader, then we can probably start.
But first, I gotta work on that-thing-i-need-to-write-because-publisher. Well, I'ma do that after my profiles. I'm trying to hit 30k in the next few days.
Anyhow. Enjoy and whatnot. Plot, etc.

Do we need any bad/antagonist type of characters? Because Vince could very well fit the bill He's quick to pick fights and antagonize people in the right situations.
