if things get way too meta, clarifications should be sought here. Quest logs will also be posted here, and kept to date right here.

This looks awesome but I am a little confused as to how it runs. It is a normal sb right but the tests are yws things. So it's a bit of a competition. And the characters? Do we have our usernames? Or just make a character?
You know that studded leather armour in films? Nobody wore that. I mean, how would metal studs improve leather armour?

It will run in both ways! Adressing your questions one at a time:

1) it is not a competition, or a race, in any way. The purpose of the Librarians is to maintain and protect the works within Palace Paideya. Out of character, this translates to delivering thoughtful reviews.

2) characters: you can use your yws username, like I did, or you can not. You can make the profiles as elaborate or essential as you'd like. They are your avatar within the storybook.

3) what we'll be doing. Nobody actually asked this, but methinks it's something of an important question. Once your characters meet Baal, he will give you an in-character explanation. Pretend you haven't received this out of character explanation. IC, as Librarians, we explore the library, battle rogue books (that's a thing), explore its darkest recesses and uncover treasure (also a thing). Pretty soon the characters are going to be sent on an actual Quest to uncover a book in a hidden library. There will be things happening. OOC, we review. We can also incorporate this IC, by having your character actually immersed in the chapter (or poem I guess) that they're reviewing. I will give a concrete example when this kicks off.

Any more questions?

Great, that gives me enough to make a character.
However I take it there will be a lot of reviewing. Thats great, but will there be any objection to doing almost all poetry? I am not to good at chapter reviews unless I'm on a computer and I can write as I read, which is hardly ever.

Oh, also time. I image fantasy, but are muzzle loaders around? Flintlock?
Also are the characters allowed to be magic users? Or enchanted items?

Yeah but I imagined new recruits would be all sorts, if they had potential.

Also are there multiple species, like hobbits, elves, leprechauns etc. Can they be player characters?

potential to be a Librarian is not a question of magic so much as keen-ness and a love of writing ;)
