Looks great, @Grimmwolf! My statement before my last now stands; sorry! I thought I'd counted the right amount of posts.

Okay! I'm currently at DragonCon but I'll write it up sometime very soon!

Would y'all mind if I post again real quick to give the people who stayed something to react to? Like police, S.H.I.E.L.D agents and the like

Hey, I ended up posting since the inspiration struck.
Also, the extent of Jean's telepathic abilities are a bit of a gray area, but what's always constant is that she isn't as powerful as Xavier.
I did find this clip from the animated series of her using it on a villain.
You can skip to 2:20 if you want to see the actual telepathic communication, but otherwise it's not a long scene. Obviously in this clip she's using it to take down a villain, here she's doing her best to stop any fights from taking place.
Also, FYI, this is pre transformation into Phoenix, so her costume won't look like that anymore when she does change, but I am writing for this version of Jean.
Since she does strain herself a lot to use her telepathy, she might just pass out and become Phoenix after this.
Posted! I love how chaotic things are getting right now.
I watched the clip to get a good idea of Jean's powers in action, but I'm not entirely sure I wrote Alex's reaction to them right. Hopefully I did, though! I had fun writing her go-to reaction to running into a superpowered person.
(For anyone who doesn't know a lot about DC or the Batfam: metahumans/metas are what superpowered characters are technically called in the DC-universe. I'm not sure many people call them that outside of Batman, but characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash would all technically qualify. Batman has a strict no metas in Gotham rule in the actual comics, but he's way more loose about it in my AU. Alex just hasn't met many superpowered characters yet.)
Why should Caesar just get to stomp around like a giant while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet? Brutus is just as cute as Caesar, right? Brutus is just as smart as Caesar, people totally like Brutus just as much as they like Caesar, and when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody because that's not what Rome is about! We should totally just stab Caesar! — Gretchen Wieners
