To be a veggie is quite absurd, a pretty little oddity of life Oh carrots and cabbage, it’s a dream
But If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to be a veggie, for goodness’ sake, just follow these tip-tap steps to live as they say; a ve-ge-table-s life
No need for arms or legs, you see Or stifles of worry, sadness and grief For they darken the colour of your red Tomato cheeks Green umbrella, you should stretch out to the sky instead To catch the sunlight as you stand tall And free
Let the raindrops kiss your leaves Twirl and spin, let the drops fall down No shoes or fancy jackets around for snails, Those teeny-tiny fashion thieves That stroll above your wiggling roots In the coldness of a brown coat
Though, beware of those pesky bugs and their devious shenanigans Don’t let them define your purpose and your in-dom-it-able -ness. Show no fear and shout: “I’m a veggie, hear me, and I’m vegging all about!”
There you have it, your veggie degree for thinking about those oddities too So if you’re feeling a bit pe- Cu-lair, think of all, lettuce and greens And soon enough, a veggie you’ll be!
@Spearmint thank you so much! Yess, I thought with the whole RiseOfTheVeggies event, I might as well write something in regard to that . Thanks for stopping by!
@teatiime Thank you!! One of favourite lines too! I'm glad you liked it!
Don’t find me on a tuesday night, don’t call or text or bring a fight, don’t wish You left the lights on in the abyss, don’t Try to turn back on the road, just Don’t
Don’t deny the past you’ve left behind, don’t Let them down on tuesday night, don’t Think we’ve got it all sorted out, don’t live Like you haunt the front doors, ‘cause you Don’t
Don’t believe you’re gone for now, don’t Make it seem like a difference, don’t make a vow You’ll never mean, don’t try anything On tuesday night, I know you will, but Don’t
