ahhh your style is amazing, envy!! i love the wordplay with "incarnate / in carnations" and the sound of "awareness like arsenic", and the imagery of deer radiating life is very creative. i can't wait to read more of your poetry this napo!
So much tension and drama in your poetry envy - I was hanging on to every line. It's tense and spooky and anxiety-laden, without being gory or trite. Love the connection between the deer's back like a wishbone, and then how that image is brought in later again. Your poetry paints a picture all the way from start to finish. Love your style and looking forward to reading along this month!
you should know i am a time traveler & there is no season as achingly temporary as now
I really love this poem! It's like a warm hug of nostalgia, reminding me of those pure, carefree moments of childhood. (I miss those days- :,D) The imagery is so vivid, like the girl scraping dirt from under her nails, or praying over her handmade necklace.
Very well written, Envy! 100/100!! <3<3
