Onni grinned. "Lead the way, darling."

Sylvie managed a smile. One of the few genuine ones she'd managed in a while. "Very well then, my sweet clumsy hero." This time their steps were a little steadier as they swayed.

"Hero, you say?" Onni followed the steps easily, staring into Sylvie's eyes. "I don't recall saving you. Mia was always the hero."

Sylvie held onto Onni just that little bit tighter, staring back into eir eyes. "Yeah she was. It should never have been her." Her voice was barely audible as her eyes experienced the all too familiar sensation of getting watery.

Onni nodded, eir eyes watering in tandem. "It shouldn't have been any of us. We should've shot Maria and Enzo. Watch them bleed out and cry for help." Onni rested eir head on Sylvie's shoulder, squeezing eir eyes shut.

Sylvie continued their silent swaying. "As much as I hate to see something like that happen to anyone, I would much rather have watched that happen."

Onni nodded. "We certainly wouldn't be here right now if it did." Ey sighed. "But, we have to accept what we're given. And we're getting Mia back. If it's the last thing we do."

Sylvie nodded. "Yes. That we definitely are."

"You ready for the big finale?" Determination settled on Onni's face. "We finish this dance and then drink to our death."

"To the death, indeed," said Sylvie. "We're getting Mia back." She mirrored Onni's look, steeling herself for what was probably going to be a painful experience.

Onni nodded. "Let's finish this, shall we? Do you remember how to dip?"

"I think so," said Sylvie," I don't if I'm strong hold you up though."

Onni snorted. "I weigh as much as an underweight parrot. I'm sure you'll be fine."

Sylvie couldn't help the giggle at that. "If you insist then. Don't blame me when I drop you."

"You won't drop me." Onni grinned.
