Welcome to Critiques by Canislupis!

Doesn't that sound like the name of an over-priced clothing store? Anyway.

Unsure? Look at my shiny reviewer badges!

Done looking? Now ask for a review!

My critiques are free, and I generally go through briefly, looking for typos, etc. Then I give overall comments with what I think can be approved. If you have something in particular for me to evaluate, please ask.

Here's what I like to review:

General Fiction/Other fiction
Fantasy fiction
(PLEASE no vampires unless you're a really, really good writer and have never read Stephanie Meyer. I don't like fantasy war stories much either, unless they're the medieval type)
Historical fiction
Action/Adventure fiction
(Again, don't like war stories much)
Art/photography (Don't expect anything in depth)

I will, but prefer not to review:

Romantic fiction (Especially if it has vampires in it  )
Science fiction (nothing Star-trekky, but futuristic stuff is ok)

I will not review:

Fanfiction
Non fiction
Poetry (I can try, but I know nothing--go elsewhere. :D)
Scripts (See poetry)

I'd prefer short stories, but I don't mind critiquing novels as long as it's not "chapter 35 part one of 7" or something like that.

I love Historical fiction and anything to do with nature/survival/ wild animals.

Please give me about a week to give you your review, at which time if I have not responded, feel free to PM me or remind me here. I'll try to get to you as soon as possible.

[Edit]Please note that I frequently have eight+ reviews pending, mostly requested via PM (which is harder to keep track of) so if I don't respond right away, that's probably why. If it's been a week, ask again.

Thanks!

~Lupis

Title: My Dearest Madelyn
Genre: Romance (sorry) :(
Length: Roughly 2,100 words
Look at: I guess just your initial reaction to the piece? I want to know if it's getting the right reaction from my audience.

Thanks so much!

ooh... Sorry I couldn't complete those.

Like I said, I'd prefer things that are under PG-13, since, after all, I'm only thirteen. :)

Hey! :)

I'd really appreciate a review on this: topic39467.html
It's Romance ... sorry. I mean, nothing remotely romantic happens in it, so I don't even know why I rated it that. Silly me.

Thanks! If you want a review in return, check out my thread in this forum.

Hey Camille! I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Until then!

[EDIT]Everyone interested in a review:

I will be mostly unavailable through Dec 25, and the day after I will be leaving to go skiing. I will most likely take a few pieces to review while I'm up there, so if you want something reviewed, post it here quickly so I can do it while I'm gone. Anything posted here between now and then will be dealt with as soon as I get back. :)

I'll post this up top as well.

^ Don't worry about how long it takes because it is a long piece, and I am completely willing to donate points for it because it is really long :)
thanks so much and don't worry if you don't do it ;)
