If you check out the drop-down menu under "Discover Works," you'll see links to "Recent Additions (0)" and "Recent Additions (1)." This used to just show literary works with either 0 comments or just 1 comment. I have just changed this.

From now on, the Recent Additions searches will display works with either 0 reviews or just 1 review. This of course means a lot more works will show up in these searches. The "Recent Additions (0)" search went from 20 items to 68 items. The "Recent Additions (1)" search soared from 99 items to 308 items!

This should help not only authors, but reviewers as well. Since you now earn extra points for being the first or second person to review a work, it's important that one be able to find such works easily.

Holy heck. o_O That's a lot of cutting down to do.

Do author's comments still count as reviews if they're long enough?

Nope; an author's comment never counted as a review.

I think what she meant was is it still counted in the number of posts in the thread? And I think they are. There isn't really an easy/efficient way to go and say "count these posts in this thread, but not these ones".

Kyllorac ->> Well, of course the author's comment is counted as a post in the thread. Why wouldn't it be? But, are you even checking the Recent Additions searches? They show only works with 0 or 1 review.

I think the fact that Perseph's poetry thread is on there and her poems are longer than reviews, and there are a total of 4 comments are on there, tells the tale.

Very nice.
