Well, folks, I could use some help. I'm working on a story where electric power doesn't exist.
The problem is, I'm not sure what to replace it with. Thoughts?

What about water and windmills errr...
True love, in all it’s celestial charm, and
star-crossed ways, only exist in a writer’s
mind, for humans have not yet learned
how to manifest it.

The obvious for fantasy is magic, but seeing as you're asking, I'm going to guess you haven't got magic in your story.

I agree with Angel - water is the obvious choice. Electricity for what, though? Just light, or telephones too? Because the amount of energy provided by a energy source and the energy needed is dependent on the energy intake, if that made sense. :P

Hmm...electricity is a form of energy, so I would say that you should go with a different form of energy, like heat or light.

Maybe spiritual power or something? But I'm not sure how that would fit since I don't know much about the story.
