My longest is 143,000 words.

The question of quality over quantity comes to mind though.
How am I not myself?

Fanfiction - Approx 8,000 words...not very many words, eh? ;^-^

Story - Lot less than 8k *super sweat drop*

How can I call myself a writer? But then again, I did just start getting into the hobby of writing on and off this year *shrugs*

57,000 words. I wrote it in 11 days last year. It's really, really awful, and nothing much happens, but I'm still fond of it for some reason.

I thik a novel can't really be defined by word-count, but rather content. Of course, there is a dividing line between short story and novel. A novel has a complete plot, and a short story a partial plot (at least in my eyes).

My novel is currently 95,389 words and counting. I won't be satisfied until it exceeds 100,000, though. There is so much more that needs to be said...

My book is currently nearly 100 pages long and counting.
The corpses are piled high around. Blood carpets the floor and flames scorch away the last remnants of humanity. The screams of the damned echo in my head. I smile. I am home.
