That reminds me of a discussion I had with one of my coworkers when I was discussing how to present something in the medical device field:

Me: "Is it correct to say gender when really we're not talking about gender, but talking about the physical sex?"

Co-worker: *frowns* "I understand what you're saying, but the more polite way to express it in the field is gender."

Also, I wrote up an ethics paper on prenatal sex selection, and my professor made me change it to prenatal gender selection. :P

Started sorting through potential names?

I suggest normal first name with goofy middle name.

I'm totally giving my future son a weird middle name. Like Sauron, Douchebag or DreamCrusher. :D
