Yahoo answers. I was tired of sites like deviantART and Watt pad cos they really didn't allow for a decent amount of helpful feedback.

Quick note, but it's actually pretty amazing how many visits we get from the Education Portal and Yahoo articles that @Lucrezia and @fortis linked to respectively. At any given time, it's pretty much a certainty that someone is currently on the site because they followed a link from one of those articles.

That's amazing, especially considering I found YWS when Nate posted the link on another forum.

I originally hail from a site called FFN and on the site, I created a forum (which was like the storybooks) for a book series called Evermore. A wonderfully spirited gal joined and we became good friends and then she stopped coming by as often. I was sad and sent her a PM, and she told me she was more active on a site she called "YWS". I remember resenting the site and sticking with FFN until a wonderful forum I was very active on was deleted and the group grew apart. So, looking for a new home, I decided to check this "YWS" out.

Thank you, once again, @Mickixoxo.

@Iggy was a fanfictioner? YUS! I'm not the only one.
I googled 'websites for teen writers'
And this popped up. It was at school, and I was so relieved when I found out it wasn't blocked.

I found it by googling 'writing websites for teens', I think, and found a page that had a list of websites - one of them being YWS.

I was shown this place by reason and she brought me back here when I was a bit depressed.

Hey! I am still on FFN @Iggy although I really don't go there very often ^^ I came to this site accidently at first. I was checking blogs of some random people and clicked on the wrong link so I ended up here ^^

i googled something like "amateur writing site" and this site was one of the results. i didn't like the point system at first because i was just starting out and looking for instant gratification (reviews), but i soon realized the importance of giving before receiving. i post my stories on other forums and writing sites but this site feels like my official writing headquarters.

@Pigeon hipped me to YWS. I was like "hey I have this poem" and they were like "hey check this site out." So thanks, Wings.

Almost a decade ago I was a member of writing.com, and not enjoying it that much. Saw an ad on there for a Young Writers Society. Clicked the ad, and the rest is history.
I wrote the above just for you.

I Googled. Then Googled again. Then googled some more.

I think I found the link on a random blog post. I can't even remember anymore.
