"Words say little to the mind compared to space thundering with images and crammed with sounds."
THE BONZO DOG DOO-DAH BAND! Penguin Cafe Orchestra The Folksmen The Ukulele orchestra of Great Britain Mundharmonica Quartet Austria! (Beat that for strangeness)
You know that studded leather armour in films? Nobody wore that. I mean, how would metal studs improve leather armour?
Some of my favorite bands are Switchfoot, Casting Crowns and The Crossing. (That last is a Celtic band. They have some amazing music, such as "Endurance", "Refugee" and "Someone Who Knows Your Name".)
Favorite singers include Brandon Heath, Lindsay McCaul and Malukah. Respectively, songs by them are "Give Me Your Eyes", "Say My Name", "Beauty of Dawn" and "Reignite".
Composers? Well, there's Jeremy Soule- he scored The Elder Scrolls series and wrote songs for Star Wars: the Old Republic. There's John Williams. Also have a listen to Chance Thomas, the composer for Lord of the Rings Online.
"Do? I'll tell you what we'll do! We'll be ready!" Matthias, from Redwall
"Life consists of doing the impossible." Brother Fir, The Heir of Mistmantle
I forgot to mention when I first created this, I also like The Casualties, GG Allin, The Sex Pistols, The Exploited, Muse, Blue Oyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
"Regrets, I've had a few. But then again, too few to mention." -The Sex Pistols
My favorite bands are Pierce the Veil, Neck Deep, Of Mice and Men, and a few others. I've also been getting into Brand New and The Story So Far, as well as Oasis(even though they're an oldie)
I'm going through a slight obsession with Idina Menzel's voice right now. For those not in the know, she voiced Elsa in Frozen, but she was also in Wicked.
I know some people didn't like her voice in Frozen—and I can't say I blame them, as it's very unique and something of an "acquired taste"—but I think it's incredibly stunning. In fact, she might be my favorite singer right now... though it changes for me all the time, so...
And I'm also into some super underground indie bands. The Rochettas are good, but there's no chance in hell you'll find them on iTunes. Also, I went to a FiB concert a while back that was awesome... but, again, totally underground and mostly unheard of. They're kind of big in San Francisco, but only if you ask the right hipster.
Oh, and I also really like the Cults. My friend just turned me onto them recently and they're pretty cool. (And they're on iTunes—score!)
Ha, I usually have favorite songs. Bands just fly in and out of the picture. I do, though, have a special love for My Chemical Romance (especially their album The Black Parade) and that's 'cause, back in high school, their songs introduced me to how lyrics can be dark and lifesaving at the same time.
P.S : I was a little broken when the band announced retirement last year
You either worship something higher than yourself or end up worshiping yourself
Life works in funny ways sometimes. Some get hurt, others go through without a single bruise. I could tell so many stories of how I got each scar that is scattered across my flesh.
