I thought that about this one:

The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger

I've tried to read it a billion times, but each time I get halfway, I want to stab Holden's eyes out. O_O

I am proud to say that I have read a lot of these books, though I didn't count how many. I was very pleased to see some books that deserve a lot more recognition then they get. But I was extremely disappointed to see Twilight. I mean, worst 100 I get, but really? This is sad.
I don't have a signature.

Spoiler! :
Bet you didn't see that coming...

I've read about 26 (there's some I'm legit not sure if I read, like some of the Tamora Pierce books) counting if I have read at least 1 book of the series.

Personally, I fail to see why House of Night is anywhere near some of the excellent books on this list. Twilight too. And some of these weren't around until after I escaped the teen years (John Green, Mortal Instruments, Divergent).

I assume, then, that at least part of the metric for judging "best"="most popular"

Oh my gosh, I can't believe the Bartimaeus Trilogy is on that. I loved that series even though it was so dark. I didn't know anyone else knew about it! I am really surprised about Howls Moving Castle. I didn't know that was a book but I really like the movie. I only got about 19 on the list but it could be more because I kinda lost count half way through because I got excited because of the series and novels listed.

I haven't read a lot of them :(

But I guess this is always a good time to start!

I've read like 15. I dislliked some. For example, I though The Hobbit and The Giver were horrible. Hobbit was long and boring. The Giver had possibly the worst ending I've ever seen. Of course, there is some books I love, such as Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. A book that absolutely needs to be on there is Slaughterhouse-Five. It's an amazing book by one of the best offers ever to exist

I've read 34!!! Lol I'm not lame!!! I've heard of over half of these so I will probably have read about 50 by the time I finish my reading list.
