I don't consider the Beatles to be a rock band. They're a boy band. Fantastic and wonderful, but still--when you get down too it, they're a boy band. I chose the Eagles merely because they're my favorite off the list. I could listen to the Eagles all day. However, from a completely objective point, I'd say it is a close race between Led Zepplin and Queen. Both are amazing and rocky and just ugghhh you listed all my favorite bands.
I don't think Queen should be on there. They're widely regarded as a mediocre band who's best album was their "greatest hits" record. While they could definitely put out a few hits, their entire catalogue leaves a lot to be desired, compared to all the other bands on that list who manage to put out very solid albums.
@Yeehovaswitness, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Queen is considered to be one of, if not the, greatest rock band of all time.
All of their albums are classics, and I have no idea where you are getting this information from. Whether you came to this conclusion yourself, or if someone else influenced you, but in any case, you are wrong.
+1 Queen.

Certainly we are able to say "band X is better than band Y and band Z should not be on here because it is bad" objectively, because musical taste is as objective as 1+1.
While Queen had a iffy list of songs, the band itself and more so its singer had incredible talent. There are very few men who can sing as well as Freddie Mercury.

While I like Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and the Eagles, I'm going to introduce some new blood here:
1. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band 2. Jethro Tull
Discuss.
Or don't, and I'll come back and discuss it myself, because one of these two is almost always on in my car, unless I feel like a break and put on a mix CD or something.
