Embrace your neighbourhood non-planet, folks.
"He yanked himself free and fled to the kitchen where something huddled against the flooded windowpanes. It sighed and wept and tapped continually, and suddenly he was outside, staring in, the rain beating, the wind chilling him, and all the candle darkness inside lost."

Though spherical, Lex (poor Pluto) has a point, I think - at least very keen in humour.

I wonder how much time the fellows who demoted Pluto really have on their hands...

Are you suggesting that Astronomers have an easy living? :p

I just pity all those text books that say we have 9 planets in the solar system.

I still want Lex back. In fact, now that people are being stupid and chunking planets out of the solar system, I'll just call him Lex, to make him happy. :P

People have been calling our local public library to see if they're going to weed out the older (as in, one year old) astronomy books. I guess we'll see... Scientists have a funny habit of retracting quick decisions all too often.

That's really weird. There's always been 9 planets. Saying 8 planets just doesn't sound right. It sounds annoying.

Did those scientists really have to go into specifics like that? How annoying! Poor Lex . . . is it now considered a dwarf-planet or something? You now, like a dwarf-star?
