I used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, but now I live on a farm (x_x) in Oregon.

Hey guys you see that little dot up north in Michigan that says 1 yeah... That's me
I plan to show some enlightenment to this world of darkness and light through my literary works. Through darkness to light or hatred to love. My literary works will express them all with an elegant flow. My passion for writing grows with each breath.

I couldn't work out why my dot wasn't appearing them I figured that was just a UK map, which makes the Republic look so phillistine with not a single young writer!

Still cool to see these up close!

You're new? Great seas! Why haven't you gone to the Buddy System yet?

You're dealing with writers. The words "normal" and "usual occurrence" do not compute.

I like to think that that big blue blob in Scotland is entirely @beckiw logging in sneakily from different computers across the city.

Also, the dots represent visits from those cities. So if you visit YWS once a day, then your dot would show up as 30 visits.

For example, take London. YWSers from London visited the site 1,017 times last month. But since many of those YWSers visit multiple times a month, that 1,017 visits came from 297 unique devices. Of those 297, about half got here via a random search and left right away. Of the remaining 150, there's probably only about 75 unique YWSers or so seeing as how most log in using multiple devices across the entire month (e.g., their desktop, their mobile phone, school computer, etc.).

Even 75 YWS'ers in London is an amazing figure!

The idea that a poem was a made thing stayed with me, and I decided then that I wanted to be an artist, not just a diarist. So I put myself through a kind of apprenticeship in writing poetry, and I understood even then that my practice as a poet was deeply related to my reading.
