I met tons of awesome writers who were great people in their own rights.

I had hilarious chat conversations.

I learned how to write... well better anyway.

I read wonderful stories.

I made friends.

I read blogs.

And I figured out what I'm going to name my daughter (Kyra Snoink).

Well, you still remember when I said that, huh? LOL! I for got all about that.
Even though it has been a long time since I have been on it is heart breaking to hear that the YWS is being shut down.
This is the place where I drastically improved my skills. It is all thanks to the people who critiqued my stories in the past.
If it wasn't for the YWS I wouldn't be the writer I am today. Thank you YWS thank you Nate and thank you everybody else.

Fondest memory? Hm, that would have to be the time Snoink thought I was a guy. That was pretty pivotal in my time spent here. Also, PsyLynx (or however you spell it) and his five other screen names. That was pretty intense.

Aaand. (This will sound sappy:) Watching all you guys evolve, not only as writers, but as people. It's been awesome.
i thought you were shallow, but then i fell in deep.

Fondest memory?

Hmmm...

I did like the never-ending debates with Snoink on stories, primarly in the fanfic forum, when I totally crushed her vision of Roman from Smaur's Wraith. She thought Roman was good-looking and I had a whole different POV on that one, thus the Great Debate began by Snoink and me. It's stilll posted with the title, "Into the Mind," if anyone anyone wants to see/read the fun!

When I first joined...
I was a little lost, and slowly but surely I started to evolve back into the writer I once was and improved beyond that by leaps and bounds from great critiques and patience from great people on this forum. Slowly, I stepped out of my eggshell, and I started remembering my old editing days, and the reviews started. Shortly after that, I sought further improvement and joined the mysterious SPEW. SPEW encouraged and helped me to further critique and more importantly - don't hold back. ;)

Becoming a VIP and the shock of it all at 8AM without precious caffeine or breakfast, lol.

That damn laggy forum, lol. It was the most annoying chatroom I've ever been in, but at the same time I had the most outragious conversations in there, much less meeting some cool people.

Bah... I was wrong about one thing. This wasn't my last long-winded ranmble on the forum, not yet anyway.

Many thanks to Nate, the Mods (who were the best ones I've ever met on any forum by the way!), Jack, and the rest of the community. It was a blast, and will look foreward to coming back in the future.

The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

Late night question games (Mesh, I still can't look at a stapler...)

Never-ending revisions

Discussing interesting topics with Dono and Snoink

The non-existence of SPEW

Helping Dono for the first time

Z (*laughs* Oh goodness. Too many unforgettable memories there)

Being asked to be a moderator

The sudden wish to go back to the small community and the ancient group

The gradual acceptance and liking of new members

Breaking 1000 posts

New skins!

Posting my work fearfully and having the experience be better than I had hoped

The endless debate over Brad's honesty in the picture thread ('cuz hey, he's impossibly hot)

My hopper days... *cough*

Chats with a drunk Jack

...geez, I could go on forever.
Love and Light

Logging in one day and seeing this note on a writing site:

You are loged in, Please wait a second

Was I the only one that noticed? It was so funny! I'm glad it's still there, it cheers me up every time I see it.
