(Stolen from the student room forums :P)

Well? Mine are:

1. That Dylan Moran is going to be in Northampton, I wouldn't have known and been able to go if I didn't have the internet
2. Some good bands (yay for downloading!)
3. Some poetry publishing companies (thanks to the internet I have now been published in a literary magazine and four anthologies).
4. Cheats for The Sims 2
Matt.

Got Tumblr? Me too! http://www.writersam.co.uk

Hmm ... I should look at poetry publishing companies, I never have.

Stuff I wouldn't have known? A lot. Loads. I learn mostly everything from the internet.

1. Several anime shows that I had never heard of but now love
2. People can be kicked out of all-you-can-eat buffets if they're wasting food
3. The Kingdom Hearts 2 release date was changed at least three times
4. I'm not alone in my writer's insanity (YWS, I love you guys!)
5. There are a lot of perverts out there.

I agree, there are heaps of things I wouldn't know if it wasn't fot the internet. I do lots of reasearch on the net. But some randomsih things are:

1) That an author called Holly Lisle even existed, let alone her articles on writing are very helpful.

2) That surfing the net is a most incredible waste of valuable time

3) That I could watch old episodes of YuGiOh on line with my little bro

And heaps of other things.

This reminds me of a topic I started on another forum entitled "things you wouldn't know if it weren't for the Simpsons." It is quite scary how much people learned.

Anyway. Internet. I wouldn't have become familiar with some of my favourite bands, I wouldn't be familiar with some of my favourite books, I wouldn't know that there are people as neurotic as I am, and so much other stuff.

where you gonna go with a heart that gone?

I wouldn't know about the internet movie data base or the internt broadway data base...hence I would be without my wonderful film and stage trivia...

I second bob...

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!!!

...are we really that old?

...yes we are! ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US! WOOHOO! :D

I would have not started writing

I would have not developed my english

I would never broaden my circle of friends

not to mention fun trivia, science, movies, bands, 1337, the list is SO long...

I wouldn't "know" any of you.
I wouldn't have a place to put my writing and would have probably just given up.
The Badger Song, the llama song, the emo song, etc.
Who sang that one song that was always on the radio and that I had stuck in my head. ("City of Angels" by Red Hot Chili Peppers...someone on here helped me out.)
That speeling korectly dosnt relly matter. (I'm not talking about here, just everywhere else on the Internet).
All those stupid jokes.
That I am doomed to have bad luck and that these ghosts of these people who died horrific deaths are going to eat me because I never passed on those forwards or MySpace bulletins.
That "The Key" (sequel to "The Named" and "The Dark") is out. So now I can be pissed at my library because it's not there.
And some pretty sweet bands.
And finally, I wouldn't be aware of just how idiotic people can be. (Once again, I'm NOT talking about you guys, I love you all!)
