While not my favourite floyd song, 'Shine on you Crazy Diamond' is a masterpiece.

70's? Not sure about that. But if you go a tad back and settle in 50's I think Ray Charles topped all the charts.
And my favorite is "Hit the Road Jack" It got funny lyrics, awesome energy and hip shaking beat.

Top of the pops 1975 was Eye Level, better known as the Van Der Valk theme. The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band flourished in the 70's, my favorite band ever. I'm gonna go for The Urban Spaceman by the Bonzos.

Time is great, as is Dark Side of the Moon, but the Wall is overrated and Comfortably Numb, while a classic, is overplayed an obnoxious amount. my favourite album is Animals, personally, and Atom Heart Mother is another favourite. It was their experimental album, along with Meddle, the one with Echoes, which transitioned the shift from psychadelic to progressive rock.
