...and I'm pretty bummed right now. That's a thousand bucks of my own that I'll probably never get back. The sad thing is, one of the things I miss most was all the writing that I did this summer is now gone because I didn't back it up on my external. I've filed a police report, but I've heard before that like 95% of these things are never recovered. *Ubersigh*

There is really nothing I can say to make this boo-boo better. I'm so sorry. I can understand; I've lost files before, at the very least. I hope you get it back, although it's sadly true that you normally will not get your stuff back. Any clue as to how it happened, who did it?
