Before I add yet more features onto the site, who'd be interested in a chat room?

I think it would be great! It would be more convenient than posting or sending PM's, in my opinion.

YEAH! I have seen some sites with a little bar on the bottom where you can just type. Or maybe we can make chat usergroups where everyone chats about one thing. I think it would be great, although it might be hard with guests interrupting it, maybe we can block them?

I think chat rooms would be cool. But I can't type chat-style, with shortened words and numbers and symbols and bad grammer  In short, I'm slow when chatting. So, I may not use them much. But I'm sure plenty of other members will.
YWS gives me carpal tunnel.

LOL I don't know, I think I become a whole new person when on a chat room. I'm very upfront about it... I don't have an MSN or anything, but I do have a history. Chats is when a personality actually comes out, which can be scary! You'll all know me when the days done... But there is a problem, time. People are on different times, so it's a matter of coincidence of talking. Like it, if it works!

*shuffles away from zzap* Nah, jk!
Quite frankly, I completely suck at computers, I've never been on a chat room *cringes* don't laugh. But I'd think it'd probably be a good idea. I'm like Perra, I don't do the shortened grammer and spelling stuff, so I'd be slow too, but still, good idea.

Pros -- look at the post date. November 29th, 2004. Only about two weeks after the site opened.

In the winter months, gale storms in Svalbard can reach wind speeds of 130 km/h. Accompanied by or following snowfall, such storms can reduce visibility dramatically, more so in the winter months of the polar night. During these storms, travel is not advised.
