I want to hear your experience! My coworkers all make deviled eggs for Thanksgiving and act like it's super normal and I've never even heard of it. I'm wondering if it could be regional to just the Pacific Northwest, so lmk what general region you're from if you're comfortable with that! Don't get too specific though!
Instead, he said, Brother! I know your hunger. To this, the Wolf answered, Lo!
I've never heard of it, probably because I live in Germany, but after seeing a picture I realise I know it by the name "oeuf mimosa". I have no idea if this is Thanksgiving food. Maybe regional in different states? I have to be honest I have never seen it so directly in a movie where Thanksgiving is. But I'll keep my eyes open.
I'm from the Mid-Atlantic region of the US, and I have never heard of deviled eggs as a Thanksgiving thing! My family always has them around Easter, cause of. Yknow. All the eggs. But yeah, never at Thanksgiving.
MIDWEST - and my family usually does do deviled eggs for Thanksgiving - perhaps because it's considered a 'party' dish or something that one brings when invited over to people's homes. I don't consider it part of the Thanksgiving Essentials (ie. turkey &/or ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, pie, green beans, cranberries) but it is usually on the table. I also theorize that if you are from somewhere where people have chickens then eggs kinda make sense as part of the "harvest" aspect of thanksgiving ~ along with corn and potatoes, but if you're from somewhere more not ... chickeny then maybe it'd seem odd? Not sure!
Like Plume, I would say it is necessary for Easter though.
My bible belt southern relatives always make deviled eggs for Thanksgiving. Then again, they make deviled eggs for almost every holiday so I don't know if that means anything haha
See I don't feel like they're a Thanksgiving food -- but they're delightful to have in basically any situation so I'd definitely not be mad if someone brought deviled eggs to Thanksgiving

I honestly don't know whether I agree with both or disagree with both or disagree with your analogy. Just generally confused. Well done.
