For more than a year, now, we've labored under the same blue header.



But no longer. In celebration of surviving a year in the harsh elements of the Squills subforum, the Squills staff is looking for a shiny new header to grace the top of each edition from here on out. Think of it as a makeover. We're going to make the prettiest weekly publication even prettier!

Well, you are.

All submissions must be:

* A 570px wide banner (height is up to you)
* A banner that includes the title "Squills" and the secondary title "The Official YWS Newsletter
* Stunningly gorgeous ~*~*~*~
* Submitted to this thread (or through PM to @SquillsBot) by

A banner too big of a hurdle for you? How about an avatar? Rumor has it that @SquillsBot is looking for a new look as well. I decided to take a whack at this.



I have a habit of making things look way more vintage that it should, so it kind of comes across as a graphic for an old newspaper. @_@

Nice, @Carina! I wonder what it would look like with more of a border around the white words! Right now the background is bright, too, so they kind of bleed together. I love the texture~

Good point! I still have the .psd file so I made the drop shadow thicker.



It does look a lot better.

I know it's not that colorful, but I like it a bit inky, newspaper-like.

Only two entries? Maybe this contest could be extended.
I made a random one (Not sure id I'm allowed to) to encourage more submissions, but I think it's worse than the original anyway. (I'm too late anyway)
