So I thought i'd get the ball rolling!

I don't really write prose unless I have to so I've got a little poem for you all!
It is terrible, but it is just a bit of fun :3

So here is 'Rue'

Spoiler! :
Aloft in those branches I rest,
Watching those who died.
I looked across those rolling fields
With faint and weary eyes.
I saw those careers surround Katniss,
Those vicious dogs below.
I saw her lover Peeta,
And a sleek silver bow.
As their eyes drew close
I searched and looked around
And upon that bark,
Upon that branch,
There was a weapon to be found.
As Katniss’ eyes drew open,
I made my presence known
I gestured to the hive on the tree
Where those trackerjackers roamed.
She nodded in agreement and
Thus she began to soar.
Those jackers did sting her,
But eventually it hit the floor.
The hive ruptured open,
And those living contents spilled.
They stung and killed Glimmer
But left behind silver bow.
Katniss began to stumble
Across the forest floor.
I wanted to let her die,
Make the games easier for me.
Then I remembered all those kids from twelve
Showing three fingers to her memory.
I nursed all of her wounds,
And patched up real good.
With leaves I bandaged her hands
And her hit her in the wood.
As she rose from her slumber,
Hey eyes on me drew.
Her words were so softly and gently,
She called out my name “Rue”.
We made an alliance
We were a team
We helped each other out.
I taught her how to use the mockingjays
To signal her coming home.
But that tribute got the best of me,
And his spear I was gone.
She sung me a song,
The words I could not tell.
But her tears were strewn upon my face
For I meant something to her as well.
I looked down upon those flowers,
She placed around my head.
I saw her win the games,
And almost choosing death.
I saw her become the mockingjay,
Leading the revolution and save them all.
I saw those parachutes near her sister,
I even saw coin fall.
Katniss, I will watch over you
Until the very end.
You were much more than the girl on fire,
To me you were a friend.

@SparktoFlame what if I already have some fanfiction up on YWS? Do we post it as a reply on this thread? Also, how many can you submit?
