Hello, Panem. Let us first congratulate all the tributes for successfully finishing their second challenge in the Arena. They all did spectacularly. You can see their scores from Challenge Two below, along with who is moving on later in the game. Just like yesterday, the bolded names are the ones competing today. The struck out names means that the tributes have either a. forfeited from the game or b. not gotten high enough scores to move on. All the scores are updated to include Challenge Two's.

District One-
Team One
@Pompadour-9/10
@Piper-8.5/10
Team Two
@TimmyJake-7/10
@defyingravity01-8/10

District Two-
Team One
@JamesHunt- 8/10
@Wolfare1-7.5/10
Team Two
@dragonfphoenix- 6/10
@Storybraniac-4/10

District Three-
Team One
@Buggiedude2340-6/10
@Strange- 6/10
Team Two
@ongoeslife-7.5/10
@verymaryanna-0/10

District Four-
Team One
@BiscuitsBatchAvoy-8/10
@Blackwood-7.75/10
Team Two
@retrodisco666-9/10
@ShadowVyper-8/10

It was a close battle on the scores, resulting in less than a point difference from the top three places. Piper and Blackwood move on, while Strange and Wolfare unfortunately do not.

Today, the highest scorers from team two from every district will be participating in the third challenge of the YWS Hunger Games. Today's challenge will be...

Write a poem based off a major historical event without using the word history.

It must be a historical event that is taught in school at some point. (i.e. the trojan war, the civil war etc etc). You cannot use the word history at any point in your poem, and your poem must be 10+ lines.

Good luck! And may the odds be ever in your favor.

From the time of this post, all the tributes at 24 hours to post their edited and finished challenge. Any tribute that misses the deadline will be forfeited from the game. The scores of Challenge Three will be released at 1 p.m. EST on June the 6th.

Oh, I've done this before! (And it really IS my turn as tribute...) This shouldn't be too hard... Certainly not as difficult as the "No E's" challenge was. *salutes those amazing tributes who actually did it*

Question. I have no idea what is taught in say the American school system so I am allowed to choose something from the British one?

I am so relieved @retrodisco666 is doing a poetry one. Retro, you are definitely one of the strongest poets on YWS. You'll be great :-)

I can't wait to read AriaAdams's next post - they're so quirky and amusing! I also think it's great that she puts so much time and effort into them.

Also, what with her keeping us up to date on the events of the Hunger Games, she reminds me of that blonde woman in Catching Fire who, in the beginning, is constantly with Katniss (sorry if I get any details wrong; I haven't watched the movie recently and I have yet to read the books). She also reminds me of that reporter in Goblet of Fire, except Aria is sooo much nicer! :D

So, quick question. Can this be about a religious historical event? Like, say, the Creation, the Crucifixion, etc.?

I knew it would happen eventually. I tried my hardest, but the competition was tough. Oh well, Go dragonfphoenix! (Wait, if I'm dead should I even be here? o.o)

Scores are updated.

Also, the judging of this was really rough! It was a lot closer than I thought.
