Hello, Panem. Let us first congratulate all the tributes for successfully finishing their first challenge in the Arena. They all did spectacularly. You can see their scores from Challenge One below, along with who is moving on later in the game. Just like yesterday, the bolded names are the ones competing today. The struck out names means that the tributes have either a. forfeited from the game or b. not gotten high enough scores to move on. All the scores are updated to include Challenge One's.

District One-
Team One
@Pompadour-9/10
@Piper-6/10
Team Two
@TimmyJake-7/10
@defyingravity01-8/10

District Two-
Team One
@JamesHunt- 8/10
@Wolfare1-7/10
Team Two
@dragonfphoenix- 6/10
@Storybraniac-4/10

District Three-
Team One
@Buggiedude2340-6/10
@Strange- 5/10
Team Two
@ongoeslife-7.5/10
@verymaryanna-0/10

District Four-
Team One
@BiscuitsBatchAvoy-8/10
@Blackwood-8/10
Team Two
@retrodisco666-9/10
@ShadowVyper-8/10

Because there was a tie, both @JamesHunt and @BiscuitsBatchAvoy will be moving on. Congratulations, and so sorry to Buggie D:.

Today, the lower scorers from team one from every district will be participating in the second challenge of the YWS Hunger Games. Today's challenge will be...

Write a short story or poem without using the letter e.

yep, you read right. No e's. If you're writing a short story, it has to be 500+ words. If you're writing a poem, it has to be 10+ lines.

Good luck! And may the odds be ever in your favor.

From the time of this post, all the tributes have 24 hours to complete it. (12 PM EST on June 5th) Any tribute that misses the deadline will be forfeited from the game. The scores of Challenge Two will be released at 1 PM EST on June the 5th.

*Edit* Can the next challenge be to read directions? 'Cause I just realized that I'm not even supposed to enter this. >.>

I am confused, though, about the above list. The scores appear to be the same as yesterday, and though you say that JamesHunt and BiscuitsBatchAvoy will both be moving on while Buggiedude was eliminated, there is nothing about Pompadour. (Though, looking at the scores, he received a higher mark than the two winners?)

I think it was just to make it clear that neither of me or JamesHunt got eliminated? Like, Pompadour got straight through but people could have been confused about what happened with us.

Good luck @Blackwood !

@BiscuitsBatchAvoy and @ongoeslife

yes, it was just to make it clear and both Biscuit and James moved on. The scores have been updated since the blood bath.

Aaaand one more thing. The challenge say that "From the time of this post, all the tributes at 24 hours to post their edited and finished challenge. Any tribute that misses the deadline will be forfeited from the game. The scores of Challenge Two will be released at 11 a.m. EST on June the 5th."

However, this was posted at 12 p.m. EST (if I'm not mistaken?) and this says that the scores will be released at 11 a.m. tomorrow; which would be 23 hours from this post?

(I promise that I am not trying to stir up trouble! Just a lonely, lost tribute here. D=)

Okay, so there were only supposed to be two winners, but since the two of them tied, there are three? That makes sense to me now.

:shock: @SparkToFlame, that is an unusually cruel challenge. I am sooo glad I don't have to participate in this! To those Tributes who must, good luck! (Go Wolfare1!)

As for those tributes who have fallen, I present to their districts these epitaphs in their memory.

Here lies verymaryanna
She died in a very merry sleep before she could even participate in the Games.

Here lies Buggiedude2340
She was scared to death of the Hunger Games and was shocked by her final score.

(By the way, please don't be offended by these *covers face in anticipation of a blow* - I shall write one for all of the fallen tributes, and anyway, they are just something to lighten the atmospere a bit.)
But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
— Paul the Apostle

Winter is inevitable. Spring will return eventually, and AstralHunter with it.

Congrats, @Piper. You get 5 e's to use at your discretion because of your districts efforts to gain you a parachute! :)
