I am so excited to see all the entries! Remember, today is the last day to submit (whenever today ends for you). Looks like this is going to be a really tough choice for all the voters!

The polls are up! An unfortunate inconvenience means that there are 5 polls altogher...but please please please read all the entries before voting so that not just one or two polls receive all of the attention. (Might be easier to read the entries here? Not sure...)
Remember the polls are in the contest forum. For convenience sake, here are the links:

@Hadj Every doesn't need to vote on every poll. Everyone picks their favorites from all of them, the whole list and votes for those. And so far, they haven't demonstrated any advantage. Neither of them is currently sitting with the most votes.

@TashHill sorry, this contest closed on Monday.

I am going to close the voting on Sunday and at that time it looks like I might have to determine a tie-breaker! We'll see.

And we have our winners!

The votes are in and three fabulous poets of YWS were voted as having written the favorite one line of poetry. Altogether there were exactly 100 votes! Crazy...
The votes were also fairly evenly distributed, with most competitors receiving 2, 3, or 4 votes apiece. Well done all!

And your winners are.... *drumroll*

1st place: With 7 votes, receiving 2500 points and a poem about...LUMI
these are memories, and we humans wear them like silver rings
2nd place: With 6 votes, receiving 1500 points and a haiku written about... DAISUKI!
then I shall stay the monster under your bed and eat your nightmares away.
3rd place: THREE users tied for third, with 5 votes each. A special secret guest judge was called in for the tie-breaker with the result that... BLUEAFRICA! will receive 1000 points.
she catches hold of her name by the tail of the h.

CONGRATULATIONS! Winners you may expected your points to be delivered ASAP and your poems should follow soon after, Lumi and Daisuki.

Thank you everyone for participating. These lines were absolutely exquisite, all of them.

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.
