but misfit puzzles collapse and lightbulbs scream until the cardboard men stop you from singing.

Yes. That's all one line. From Niteowl's Nest

"the milky way is a path for refugee suns."
From my poem "Rockets", which is not posted here. But my poetry blog takes its name from that line!

@Adnamarine, does it have to be lines from NaPo poems, or can ANY previous poem work?

In that case, I retract my previous submission. Here we go:

@SparkToFlame just one line. The idea, or hope, is that it is your absolute most favorite line you have written--which can definitely be a tough choice.

Probably my favourite,
"I shall play the Muse's Frankenstein,"
A poem about drawing, and bringing imagination to life. In the end the narrator leaves the paper blank as the potential of the white paper was better than what he could actually draw.
You know that studded leather armour in films? Nobody wore that. I mean, how would metal studs improve leather armour?

Alongside weary branches shaking off their painted hands

From Autumn Villanelle

The only poem I've ever written…apart from a weird one about Rapunzel.
"There is a dead spot in the night, that coldest, blackest time when the world has forgotten evening and dawn is not yet a promise."
