Let's celebrate mourn the end of NaPoWriMo with a contest which does not actually involve writing poetry. You have one task. Dig through the mountains or mole hills of poetry you have written, and pick your absolute favorite single line. The only requirement is that it most be from a piece you have previously written, and it has to be one line.

Now here's the other caveat. This is going to be an audience judged contest! After I receive the submissions from all of the contestants, I will put together a poll and the line which receives the most votes will be the winner!

Winner of what, you ask?
1st place - 2500 points and a poem written about you (minimum 7 lines)!
2nd place - 1500 points and a haiku written about you!
3rd place - 1000 points!
[All points courtesy of the amazing and insane Iggy.]

The deadline for this will come up pretty fast so search quickly!
Deadline is Monday, May 5 (whenever it ends for you)
Please post your entries in this thread.

PLUS I can neither confirm nor deny that my personal favorite will also receive a special secret prize...
"Half the time the poem writes me." ~Meshugenah

Pretending in words was too tentative, too vulnerable, too embarrassing to let anyone know.

Eaten by your vessel's decay, your soul is bleeding demons
Lullabies and storybooks
And poems and other lies
Will make you happy and make you dream
But seldom make you wise

Do they have to be from published works?
