I've never really seen anything that could be considered sad before. I usually stick to watching comedies, but lately I've been feeling like watching something that will make me feel like I've been punched in the gut.

The only sad things I've seen so far was the videogame "To the Moon" (meh), the movie "Dear Zachary" (Some tears shed), and the Antlers album "Hospice" (Somewhere between those two).

So what have you seen or heard that made you cry?

Oh also, if you're going to watch "Dear Zachary", note that it is not a typical documentary. It is more like one that goes after your emotions, sort of like an angry political ad. However, if you're looking for a true, depressing story, then by all means you should go watch it.

Never read it, but "A Fault in Our Stars" by John Green is apparently a real tearjerker.

For me, animals can do the trick. First movie that ever made me cry was "My Dog Skip" (three guesses why). Similar story with "Marley and Me" (again, three guesses why).

You know that studded leather armour in films? Nobody wore that. I mean, how would metal studs improve leather armour?

Cyrano de Bergerac, do you mean?

The Fault in Our Stars and The Book Thief are both books that made me cry.

Disney's Up. And Monsters Inc., for me.

I think the saddest thing I've ever seen was the movie The Suicide Room, which I wouldn't recommend watching if you would be triggered by suicide, self harm, blood, etc. The movie is on Netflix and YouTube, but it's in Polish (the Polish title is Sala Samobójców). Netflix definitely has subtitles but I'm not sure about YouTube.
