Hilarious books?

Is there any hilarious books that you guys would recommend? I'm a huge fan of books like "John Dies at the End" and "Apathy and Other Small Victories".

While I'm sure that books written by comedians such as "Napalm and Silly Putty" by George Carlin, and "Bossypants" by Tina Fey are funny, I'm looking for humorous fiction books rather than a collection of essays.

There's UFO (Unavoidable Family Outing) by Dave Hackett.
It's kind of a book for younger kids (11-13), but my older sister read it and loved it!

If you want a good dark humor writer try Christopher Moore. Probably my two favorites though are LAMB: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal which tells the story of what Jesus was up to during those missing years, like hanging out with a yeti and learning to become invisible. And then there's the novel A Dirty Job which fill people in on just how hard it is being a single dad raising a new born girl, running an antique shop, and working as a grim reaper on the side.

For some lighter, dorkier humor, you might want to look for something by John Green. He's a great writer and his stories, although serious most of the time, are written and told in a very laughable, nerdy voice. His most recent novel, he managed to tell the story of a teenage cancer patient who's, well, she's dealing with a lot and even though the story is sad, you still find yourself laughing throughout the story.

Edit: I almost forgot about Tony Bender's novel If Every Month Were June. It's a hilarious tale about a man who travels across the country to find the calendar model he's been eyeing from his wall for some time and ends up getting a lot more than he bargained for.

Definihitely read John Green. His books are made of le win and very funny. PG Wodehouse's books are hilarious--I don't take them with me to public places because laughing uproariously in public tends to gather funny looks.

In my opinion you should read john green one time, Its the bestest.

If you want a light hearted book that pokes fun at Twilight then you must read Nightlight a parody.
It is so funny but only if you can't stand Twilight! It is satire at one of its best and is extremely easy to read!

Stuff by Jeremy Strong was one of my favourite books as a young teen.
It's very British though, so some humour might not come across as well in other countries.

Anything by Chetan Bhagat. You won't laugh really reading his work but at the fact that he got published. lol.

If you haven't read them then the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series is hilarious. Yes, I know most people have seen the movies, but the books are a billion times better.

Amazingly hilarious, but it gets deep too and the plot line is amazing! ^u^ It is literally the BEST book series I ever read ^u^

Speaking of John Green, Paper Towns is hilarious and a great novel to boot. I could not put it down, I read it for at least 8 hours in one sitting. Such a great book.

whatever people say CATCH-22 will always take the cherry on the top......that book will make you puke your lungs out by laughing....

For humorous books I'd recommend any of the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. They're set in a fantasy world but are satires of many modern phenomenon. Another favorite funny book of mine is "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It's a hilarious book about an angel and demon trying to stop the end of the world.

I'd recommend 'Inconceivable' by Ben Elton. It's got a real story to it with strong characters but it's a good laugh. It's perhaps more late-teen to adult in some of its content but I read it as a younger teenager and still really liked it!
