Species, Flood
The River Maiden
She walks along the riverbed,
And sleeps in cold grey skies.
She wends her way through streams and brooks.
The dew drops when she cries.
Her song she sings in waves and storms.
Her voice is crystal clear.
She lives and thrives as all things do;
As rain and floods and tears
So many often wonder,
By what name she is called.
Maiden of the riverbed.
Maiden of the falls.
