I'm an advocate of Dictionary.com and Rhymezone :-)

So they sold out? That's why there is a new layout? I see people have already listed M-w.com. I only use that because its built in to Mozilla.

For spell checking, I usually use Microsoft Word :-D But If I decide to go a little wild I believe there is a www.spellcheck.net. That might not be the right URL, I'll have to check.

Another handy site I use is http://javascriptkit.com/script/script2 ... ords.shtml But only to compare my word count (What I get from the stander equation I use to get word count) To theirs, to see if mine is close.

I hope this helped. Out of curiousity, what exactly about Dictionary.com is bothering you?

Buy a dictionary, and buy a thesaurus.

Of course, she was talking about vocabulary...
