I've noticed a lot of people using languages/dialects/accents in their writing and asking questions relating to those. They are quite a good way to portray things related to identities and various kinds of political and social aspects in a story, and I've used them a lot for exactly those reasons. I'm somewhat knowledgable about sociolinguistics, phonology, phonetics, and a few other linguistics topics and can give advice based on that as well as just my experience using languages and language varieties as an aspect in stories.
