I like pretty much everything (that's what everyone probably says), but my favorite genre is, er, modern fantasy, you could say. If you've ever read Neil Gaiman or James Morrow, you'll know what I mean.

As for writing, I guess I like poetry, but short stories captivate me as well. Hopefully I'll post something when I have something worthwhile.
