Whether you're a new member or old member, if you got a question about anything whatsoever that relates to the Young Writers Society, please use this thread to ask your question. Do not be afraid to ask anything as there are no stupid questions! However, questions regarded topics that do not relate to YWS will be deleted.

Additionally, it would be very helpful to me and the mods if older members helped out with answering questions in this thread. If you read a question and know the answer, then do not hesitate to respond! I will be very grateful to those members that take the time to answer questions.

How many times do we have to post before we can change the description below our name? eg. Novelist

You become a Novelist at 250, at which point you can make your custom title.

Is it possible to attach pictures here directly? Or do we need to get them off a picture site?

You have to use a picture site.

Sites like www.photobucket.com (requires you register) or www.imageshack.us (no registration) are great places to look.

is it allowed to use song lyrics in story's?

of course. if the work isn't your own, just make sure to say that somewhere, either as documentation, a footnote, or within the context of the story, etc.

What is supposed to be in personal galleries?

Anything personal, I would assume. From your own pictures, to your doodles. ;P

I'm sure you can. More advertising is always good, even though we have a lot of members already!
