You can apply for two positions on the YWS staff:
- Instructor
- Greeter
In order to apply, go the Staff Application Form (the url is provided at the end). Please be aware that just because you apply does not mean you will be accepted.
So given that it's how you behave on the board that determines your eligibility, here are some good guidelines to follow if you want to become one of the above:
- Respect the Moderators and Site Admins.
- Restrict foul language to where it belongs: in Literature.
- Do not flame other members.
- Be very nice and patient with new members.
- Be active. It doesn't matter where, although it certainly counts for more if you're active in the Literary forums rather than the Community forums.
- Help others
If you follow those simple guidelines, there's a very good chance that your application will be accepted. Moreover, there are no quotas for the above user ranks, so you need not worry about that.

Please be aware that as of March 17, you need to go to the staff application form in order to apply to be a Greeter or Instructor. Applications will no longer be accepted over PM. As always, you cannot apply to be a Junior Moderator or Moderator.
