Hi everybody-

I go by Calliope online, you can call me Cal. I'm 15, I'm an avid reader and I enjoy writing prose, mainly novel-length fiction. I'm still hoping to one day finish that novel, but the whole concept of completion seems to be eluding me... I also occasionally write short stories, but I find them more difficult. I've been a serious writer for 3 years, but I've made up stories as long as I can remember.

I came across this site when just poking around the hidden corners of the internet. I'm going to be looking around for a little while before I post any of my writing. I have read the rules. I don't often post on forums, so this will be a little new for me.

-Cal

Hey Cal! Welcome to YWS!

Important: Before posting your own stuff, you must review two pieces. Also, try to maintain a 2-to-1 reviews to story ratio. Reviewing is good for you. Smile Though you did say you read rules, therefore I like you, anddd... you will do well here.

Hopefully you will be encouraged to finish a novel here - reviews are very helpful - I've improved a lot thanks to the help of members here! This is a very amazing site for writers, and I hope you enjoy it here.

PM me for reviews and whatnot. I'm friendly.

~ Clo

Greetings, world. My name is Richard. As a child I was an avid writer, but passion has waned since I discovered video games. However, the interest remains and a couple of friends (one of whom invited me here) have been encouraging me to start writing more.

Hopefully this community will motivate and teach me. Failing that, I'm sure there will be much enjoyable discourse, as everyone here seems quite friendly.

You already fail, Richard! Make your own thread in the forum. That's what it's here for! XD

By the way, I've been referring to you in my blog as "Quaker." Razz

Hey everyone,

My names Megan and im new to this site.

I'd love to meet some new people and get to know you.

just ask me and i'll review your work....but you might have to include a link, cuz im not so good at navigating around this site yet. lol.

how about we do the question game to get to know each other. it's simple really. first, i ask a question, you answer, and then you get to ask me a question back. you have 3 passes, so incase there's one you don't want to answer you can pass.

Ok, here's the first question.

Who is your favorite Author?

it's open to anyone.

Let the games begin. :]

Hey mimitley, Welcome to the wonderful realm of YWS. Like to write songs eh, that’s a rare talent you know. Not being able to writing the long novels because you get fed up with your ideas is normal, at least to me. I started out like that too and many others have too. It’s really hard to stick to one idea when one has a vivid and extraordinary imagination. So where are you from?

Hello!

I am a newbie on this site, and I have to admit, I'm pretty overwhelmed! I've been a member of Writers Window for two and a half years, but this site is very different! It will take a bit of getting used to... haha. However, I must say I'm loving it so far!

I am not a new writer. I have been published twice before (don't get excited- it was only a couple of articles in the newspaper) and have been writing poems and stories for as long as I can remember. There is so much for me to learn in the art of crafting words, so I hope this website will be of immense help in that respect.

It was nice to meet you guys, and I look forward to reading all your wonderful work!

Books.
