Haha, I'd wondered if your username had anything to do with him (;

But just to let you know, as a writer's site one of our rules is that you not use chatspeak. (aka, rly, tym, u, lyke, etc.).

Haha, I hope we do encourage you in your writing. It encouraged me. I wasn't writing much when I first came here. If you ever want a critique for something of yours, feel free to PM me and ask. Just make sure that before you post any of your writing, you do two reviews. That's another rule.

Nice to meet you (=

Hi I'm Shadowopal. I hope to have fun while I'm here and...I hate introducing my self. >_<
I love writing and have like 12 already stuck in my head. (even though I've only start on 2 of them)
You can call me Opal18, Tourmaline, or death. I'll respond to all of those names.

Hey, everyone, I'm Pixielit. Can't tell you my real name--my parents are paranoid. (in a good way, of course. I love them:P) anyway, I'm thinking of posting a story--anyone know where I can do that?

Hi guys! I was surfing the internet and found this place. It's awesome! I hope I can learn more about writing and help others love writing as much as I do!

So...things about me... I love music: both playing it and listening to it. I have an awesome family, my favorite color is blue, and I have a dog named Skipper.

Ooh, musician! What do you play?

Favorite genre to read? Write? I claim to be a poet, sometimes? You?

Anyhoo, if you have any questions about the site, feel free to ask! I can pretend know what's going on usually. And! Make sure you read the rules!.

Hope you enjoy the site!

I play the trumpet! It's the best!

My favorite genre would probably be fantasy, although I've been known to pick up a history or science fiction every once and awhile.

Yeah, I've written some poetry for school and even a few on my own time. In fact, I just posted one of them called When Truth Comes. I wrote it in Creative Writing and even put it in a poetry.com competition once. They liked it, but they wanted me to go to Vegas because I had "a chance to win a thousand dollars!!!" Yeah, that worked out well.

Anyways, I'm blabbing. Thanks for the welcome! There's really a great system going on here.

See ya around!

-Anna

Hi, I'm puck, as in Midsummer Nights Dream. I just played the part, so that's why the name. I love writing, theatre (especially Shakespeare) and photography. I have written two nanowrimo novels, but neither of them have been so much as glanced at since I finished them. Other than that, just short works in progress.

And welcome, of course (: *waggles finger* You make sure you tell me if you have any trouble with anything, anything it all Wink

I'm not new, but I thought this would be the best place to ask: how do you edit posts? I've seen edited posts in lots of places, and it's driving me crazy trying to figure it out. I know, the solution is probably simple and will probably have me headbanging my keyboard and yelling "Why didn't I think of that?" like a lot of other things, but still. Thanks in advance.

On the top right of each post box there are two options. One is 'Quote' the other is 'Modify' Click on Modify and you'll be able to edit it. I think it says 'Edit' for some of the other skins.

Here's a picture with the button circled.

And by the way Wordsmith, if you read this, there is a thread for Questions in this same forum. Very Happy
