I forgot mine already--I know I was distinctively Introverted (heh...) but that was all I can remember.
Anyway, I am the worst math student since the history of the world! Speaking of history, give me a history book and I'll finish it in a day. I can take history tests and make As without studying for anything. I love history. I know a lot about the Civil War on to the 70s. History is truly a part of me... |

| Algebra...no. I really like Calculus-based Topological studies. Mostly because it splices in certain aspects of Quantum Mechanics, and if you really want to increase the number of pages you need, you can throw in some Superstring theory. Personally, Topology is the best part of mathematica there is. |
Huh? *scratches head and tries to understand*.....*head explodes*
Nah.
I am enjoying Geometry though....so much better than Algebra. I'm not sure who said it--but they summed up why I like Geometry.
You are way too smart for your own good, Incandescence. |

Er...yes, a more consummate autobiography would be this (which, like all autobiographies, is packed with lies(snicker)):
In brief, I am a 15-yr old assistant professor in the department of English and Foreign Languages at Lamar University, in Beaumont, Texas. I have a BS in English from Lamar, where I am working on an MA in Comparative Literature. I have lived throughout the Eastern half of the United States, including Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, New York, and Texas. I come from a primarily middle class background. If I were to invent a name for my dominant ideology, it might be "post-eco-cynicism." Then again, cynicism is really a form of optimism.
**********
I own one house plant.
Of the seven deadly sins, my personal favorite is "Sloth."
Here is a list of some of my favorite things:
* couches
* garlic
* successful repression
* Stockard Channing
* balance
* smoke from a candle that's just been extinguished
* cashews
* ninjas
* empty beaches at night
* sleep
* heavy punching-bags
Here is a list of some of my unfavorite things:
* divorce
* migraines
* traffic
* factory smoke
* paper cuts
* cold
* obligatory sex
* stairmasters
* narratives about angels helping people
* heavy objects with edges for me to bump into
* Nationalism
Here is a list of current products I'm consuming. Updated occasionally.
Music: Clem Snide--Your Favorite Music, Wilco--Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Movies: Bad Lieutenant
Books: Fyodor Dostoyevksy--Notes From the Underground (Unabridged); Craig Thompson--Good-bye, Chunky Rice
Here is a list of current ideas I'm advocating. Updated not-so occasionally.
* beating baby whales to death with dead baby seals
* cannibalism
* repression of women, who, as Nietzche implied, should not be enfranchised or educated. I mean, oh, fine, if any individual ones want it, but as he said, it would cause no end of social disorder and chaos - which of course it did.
**********
Someone recently asked me who I wanted to be, just in the general sense. I thought that answering the question was revelatory enough that it might seem appropriate here on this page.
First off, instead of being a person, I want to be one of those patches of lichen they find up in arctic conditions that live thousands of years, and don't change in size appreciably over 30-year spans, but nonetheless do have cell replication. That, or a nice tree. And sometimes I want to be a crocodile.
The predominate fantasy here is of non-consumption (crocodiles can go a year without eating).
As for people, sometimes I want to be:
1) Guy Pierce
2) Fred Ward
3) The grotesquely obese downstairs neighbor in the movie Alice, Sweet Alice, whose primary activities, as a shut-in, are drooling while sleeping, lying on the couch, and scaring little girls.
4) Bartleby the Scrivener
5) Helen Mirren
I have a friend in San Antonio who wants to be Madeleine Albright.
**********
That's all.
I admire your fortitude for reading all of that. Either that, or else your obsessive devotion to learning about me is dangerous and creepy.
Bye, now. |
