I was searching for something stupid and inconsequential on Google images, probably to make a new avatar, when one of the images linked back to YWS. I clicked, registered, and... yeah.

I don't rememeber. It was either from writing.com or from google search. Other than my best friend, none of my other friends know about this site though I've lectured and begged--they aren't much of writers. Smile

Writer's Digest had their little 101 best writing sites feature. I saw this under the teen writing portion. It sounded cool, so I visited and registered.

i was trying to work on my book, but i got bored, because i was having a little writer's block, so i was looking up some creative writing tips online. I found a story by a guy who's avatar looked like someone I knew. I read it, and started looking around the site. I signed up, and became addicted. lol.

I was working on my book but I needed to learn the subtleties of writing before I actually continued further. I had heard of this site before and I typed in "Young Writers Society."
