I turned round an show them my blood drenched blade "This is my Father blood on his own blade, my Father gave up everything to give me a chance to be a Paladin, so i'll avenge him"
I looked at everyone else the Griffin was cluching a bloody feather the noble looked like he was holding two stones then i saw blood and almost vomited they were eyes. "Who was this sadistic person who thought killing someone we care for, or hurting us in some way, was a good way to make friend", i realized then i had spoke outload. I then looked at everyone and realized it didn't matter everyone else was too i could tell by the expression, but the Sell Sword hadn't turned round yet, but he seemed to angry and sad at the same time. |

Seraph
I stared at the Half Breed, and at the blade in his hand.
"Well met then. It seems we have a common foe." I looked to each perosn individually, prodding each one with a stare.
"I will not stand for this. Justice will be served; on my father's life, and by my father's blade, I swear it. I drew my dagger and slammed it into the table, embedding it a good four inches into and through the wood. I waited to see if the others would follow suite, hoping to at least get a paladin to side with me. A follower of Law is always a welcome companion. |

When I heard what the half blood said, it made me chuckle, out of genuine humor. I found his slow-wittedness funny, as he sureley didn't get it from the Elven blood that ran through his veins.
I spoke to him in Elven
"Surely, you aren't really that dimwitted. While you may have human blood running through you, you also have elven blood as well....surely that counts for something?" When I saw the confused look on his face, I spoke again in the human tounge so that all could understand. "Obviously, you half-witted half-blood, they don't want to make FREINDS with us. They said in the letter that we have all crossed him/her/it before, and now this is their revenge. Yet, somehow I think this is just the beginning" |

I drew my dagger struck it in the table, then wrapped my Mum necklace round it. "I will avenge you Father no matter what happens"
I took my blade out and cut my finger let the blood drip into my palm, and swore quietly on my blood i would get revenge for my Father death. "Look only took this quest so i could by cured of being of halfbreed, i replied to Valin."
Everyone looked at me "The King said he knew a way to cure me", i then realized at this moment I'd been tricked into coming here what was going on.
The barkeep who by now was scared went to sneak away. |

(Don't godmode my character, Fontroy. I don't like it)
Valin Norovir:
"So, while we're all swearing oaths, I suppose we should perhaps try and deduce this one nagging detail: Who we are trying to get revenge upon? As in, who is responsible for these acts?"
I took another swig of my ale, finishing my second pint. I poured another. Well, I tell you what. I really want to avenge my uncle and father and mother. But we can't go about this like a bunch of foolhardy barbarians. We need to find out who is doing this, plan our attack, find them, and then put our plan into action. However, you do realize that whoever is doing this is most likely VERY powerful, and probably has a large private army at their disposal?
(Fontroy, please in the future try to use correct grammar. It hurts my brain trying to decipher what you write) |

(he fixed his action, Dan...)
I looked at Valin, and expression of distaste obvious on my face.
"Sneaking in shadows may work for you, sellsword, but I'm sure this enemy of ours has been scrying us from the moment we entered town. Unless any of you has a way to shield against Scrying, I doubt we can do anything without his knowlege. Do not think me a common fool, Valin."
I glanced at the Griffin, noting his obvious sadness, evident even on the fierce face of a hawk. |

(Okay, good)
Valin:
"Do not treat me as a common sell sword, Seraph. I am an Elven noble, whose throne has been usurped. And 'sneaking in shadows' as you put it may not be your idea of honorable battle, but it eliminates your enemies, and fast. But I never suggested poisoning, either. I suggested we make sure we know what we are facing before charging headlong into something we cannot handle. I don't know about you, but I know that I can't avenge my dead family from beyond the grave. So, if you want to avenge your father's death, I applaud you, and urge you to, and I shall join you. But you must not blunder blindly into something you cannot control. Remember: A good warrior knows the abilites of both his soldiers, and those of his enemies, and exploits his strenghts, and his enemies weakness, like a sealion cracking an oyster." I sighed, drinking again.
"Full frontal attack is not always the best tactic. I have a good all-around battle training, and therefore, I use what works best, not what is seen as more "noble". Now, if you want to have a fighting chance, we have many things we must uncover before we can attack" I said, sitting back down, and beckoning them to join me, as I pulled a black polished orb from my cloak. |

"Well whoever it is i replied, it met us and it knows or weaknesses, like it knew i cared for my Father deeply."
"So what i'm suggesing is, we must be able to think of someone we all met"
"One thing we know he will do anything to anger us"
The rest nodded their head in agreement. |

~Thaden Ma'lar~
"There is one thing we seem to be overlooking," I said quietly. They turned towards me for a second. "This villian arranged all of this. He made sure we all made it to the bar and that he had those packages ready at the same time. This isn't one man, but an entire organization. He has thought of every variable."
"What are you saying?"
"He is too smart. He would have forseen this alliance and planned appropriately. He expects us to join together and he expects us to go after him. It is also possible that he hasn't killed our relations. We have a feather, a blade, and eyes. Nothing except the eyes suggests death, but nothing that indicates a kill. Why not send us their heads? No, they are alive. They are not in good condition, but he will keep them alive." I looked into Vallin's eyes.
"You are right. A direct approach will not help us. Knowing our enemy is more important. If I'm right, our foe has more protection than mere anonymity. What is that orb you hold Vallin?" I asked. |

I laughed grmily at the Griffin's statement.
"Yeah...my father would not have been taken alive. He was the last Avatar of Retribution; he would fight till no breath issued from his lungs, and even after," I added with a smile that looked more like a lion's grin.
I nodded along with everything Valin said. "It seems we have varying points of view when it comes to combat....whiel I share not your view of battle, I do understand where you are coming from. I don't hide. I don't sneak, and I don't plot. I'm merely a warrior of Justice. Since I cannot fight what I cannot see, I leave that part to you." |

Valin:
''Excellent. Then we are in agreement. We must plan this out, and fight not only with our might, but with our brains as well, as we are obviously facing a very large, very organized, very smart and very determined foe" I said, placing the orb on the table. "This," I continued, "Is a shadow-seer. It enables the user to see things in the shadows and the past that they would normally be unable to see...they can uncover plots being hatched, conspiracies gone awry, and a whole gamete of other things"
I muttered the incantation, and as I did so, we saw in a darkened room made of red marble a cohort of men dressed in black, plotting something. The first of them said, "As soon as this little band is out of the way, the bones of Isha will be ours"
"Yes, but how are we going to get them?" Another asked, continuing "The keys are divided amongst the four kingdoms"
"Yes, I know that you imbecile!" said the first. These four individuals each hold the key to gaining their kingdom's key peice...we need to get them to be together, in one place, and have them meet us in battle. Then, when we kill them, we will use them to get their key peices"
"But how are we going to do that, My Lord?" asked another.
"Simple," said yet another. "All we have to do is make sure they are all in one place, say, hire them all for some kind of questing job, and then send them each tokens of a loved ones' demise. That should send them right into our laps."
"I like it," said the first one. "Do it."
At this, they all began cackling maniacally, and then, the seer-vision ended.
"See what I was speaking of, Seraph?" I said, putting the orb away. |

"My eyes filled with fury i tried to control my human side anger and failed, so i loaded my cross bow walked over to the barkeep "okay time you told us where you met this person, and maybe tell us what he looked like."
One of the others grabbed the cuff of my neck.
"Snap out of it you deranged idiot", he replied slapping my face.
I fell down on the hardwood floor and fell uncoicous. |

I quickly moved and backhanded the half elf on his blindside, knocking him away from the innocent barkeep. The crimson steel of my gauntlets crushed into his face, sending him sprawling.
"My apologies, good knight, but I cannot let you harm an innocent man, for something he has not done. Surely a paladin such as yourself would realize this."
I turned away from the fallen knight and back to Valin and the griffin.
"I do see now, Valin. I fear these men will have a surprise when facing me in combat. If they think they can best me in a fair duel, they are sorely mistaken."
I narrowed my eyes and dropped my hand to my longsword belted at my side.
Looking directly at Valin, I put my other hand to my ear and mouthed "Hear that?" I pointed to the ceiling, then made a walking gesture with my fingers.
Soft, nearly silent footsteps could be heard from above. Nearly imperceptible creaks accompanied the footfalls, but they very easily could have been the sounds of a settling building. |

~Thaden Ma'lar~
I saw this and focused in with my sharp gryphon ears. The noise wasn't loud, but there it was. Another creak confirmed it. By the sound of it, he had just laid down right over us. I knew what my next move was, but there was no way I could communicate it to them. We were being watched and any noise or motion that would let the spy know it would comprimise our effort to get him. A plan materialized quickly. I coughed violently.
"I'm afraid the atmosphere here is just a little too smokey. I'll step out and get some fresh air for a moment." I made eye contact with Seraph.
"I'll be out for a few minutes. Will you stay here? I'll call you if I need you." He seemed confused at first, then he nodded, a conspirital glimmer in his eye confirming that he had gotten the message. I exited the bar and walked across the street into the forest. After a minute, I charged forward and took flight. The second window to the right was about where I had heard the noise. The window was closed though. Oh well. I crashed through the window and the door, making enough noise that no one could have missed it. |

OK, I guess I'll keep going.
~Thaden Ma'lar~
Sure enough, our spy was in the hall. Clothed in black, he pulled out a knife. The move seemed based more on fear than actual proficency. There was no way he could exit the building, I blocked the stairs.
He rushed into an empty room and went through the window. I raced after him landing on the road. No matter how skilled the spy was in escape, he could not beat me in mobility. Nor could he hide. He stood below the window he had exited from. I moved forward, closing the amount of places he could reach. He still had the knife and held it in front of him.
"Seraph, Valin, Alex, over here!" I screeched. Fear flashed into the spy's eyes. I closed in and he finally attacked. I recoiled as he slashed at me. He missed. I came again, he repeated the move. I knew his pattern now. I moved in and he slashed, I dodged the slash and bit down on his knife arm with all the force I had. He dropped the knife and screamed. I yanked his arm hard, causing a loud snap in his arm.
"Stop!" |
