| Nate I have a suggestion for a new forum. Many aspiring poets are also aspiring song writers... could we have a "lyrics" forum?? |

Created! It's under the "Misc. Works" category. |

Your mopuse? I'll assume you mean mouse?
I always use that anyway. But I can see the scroll bar fine. |

May be just your browser settings; I checked on my comp on all three main browsers, and checked on other people's computers in my townhouse as well. Anyways, can you tell me what browser, OS, and theme you are using?
Is anybody else having this problem? |

| Hey...if there are more people interested, could we perhaps have a comedy forum? Basically for perfecting monologues, jokes, etc. |

I had a question. Points are awarded for posting in the art forum, right? I think that debate and serious discussion should have points for posts. This is because a lot of people type quite a bit in this forum and it is almost like a persuasive essay for the non-fiction section...
just an idea |

| I was thinking earlier, and I realised that there isn't really any encouragement for people to talk about their poems etc-what lies behind the verses, where they got their ideas from, emotional factors etc, and also for people to say what they felt the poem meant and how they interpreted it, reading between the lines. Just a passing thought I wanted to put out there, but I'm not really sure what could be done for it... |

| I agree with Matt. I think people should feel encouraged to explain their poems, and also for people to comment more on meaning rather than "Oh, I don't like your peom because it doesn't have capitals and you shouldn't do this or this" when most of the things people say are silly little things that maybe, just maybe, the poet meant to be that way. Sure, it's fine for prose, but for poetry people seem to losing focus on what happens when you read a poem. What it MEANS to you. |

I agree with the comments about encouraging comments/criticism covering both content and mechanics and that. Discussing the content, how it came to be and all that is good, too.
I also would like to see people post their writing in a before and after kind of thing. We see the before, and then all the comments but seldom see what the end results are. I'd love to see what the final piece looks like.
If this already exist somewhere and I haven't found it, please ignore this request AND point me to where it is. |

| Perhaps we could have a special club or benefits for members who have finished novels with the help of YWS members? |
